Proposition 1D set aside $100 million in incentives for the High Performance Initiative (HPI) for schools. Optimized Energy provides a complete High Performance School (HPS) review for K-12 schools in the design process for both new construction and modernizations. Once the review is complete, Optimized Energy submits the school to the Department of the State Architect (DSA) to apply for HPI grant money.

The HPS review covers a number of efficiency criteria such as:

• -Sustainable Building Practices
• -Indoor Environmental Quality
• -Recycling
